DeCuzzi Fragrance began with a father, a son, and the determination to keep building something beautiful together—even when life became uncertain.

We are Robert and Anthony DeCuzzi. Our story brings together generations of family tradition, a lifelong passion for motorsports, and a deeply personal belief: the time we have together matters, and so does what we choose to create with it.

A Foundation Built on Family

Our family’s racing history began in 1970 with Robert’s parents, Carol and Peter DeCuzzi. Robert grew up surrounded by the dedication, precision, and hands-on craftsmanship that racing demands. Those values became part of our family life and, eventually, something he shared with Anthony.

In 2001, we founded DeCuzzi Motorsports. Anthony was still a child, learning alongside his dad, and our bond grew through years spent building, racing, solving problems, and showing up for one another. The garage became a place to learn patience, celebrate progress, and make memories.

That same spirit lives in DeCuzzi Fragrance today.

When Life Changed, Our Purpose Became Clearer

In 2022, Robert’s hospitalization and leukemia diagnosis changed our lives. Prostate cancer and continuing health challenges brought further uncertainty, difficult conversations, and a new appreciation for everyday moments.

Through it all, we leaned on each other. We kept making plans, finding reasons to laugh, and choosing to move forward together. Staying positive meant making room for hope even on the hardest days. Through all of this Robert never broke, his resilience is inspirational.

During this time, Anthony began developing fragrances for his father, bringing greater attention to the ingredients in the products we used. What began as a personal project became a shared passion: creating beautiful scents through thoughtful formulation, careful research, and hands-on development.

Friends and members of our community began asking for bottles of their own. Their encouragement helped us see what this could become. We introduced DeCuzzi Fragrance publicly in 2023 and continued refining our craft, building relationships, and earning trust one bottle at a time.

Our Approach to Clean Science

For us, clean science means asking thoughtful questions about every ingredient: what it contributes, how it is used, and what the available safety information tells us.

We consider both natural and carefully selected synthetic ingredients, recognizing that quality and suitability depend on the specific material and its concentration. Our formulations are made without parabens, phthalates, or formaldehyde, using proprietary ingredients.

We pursue fragrance with character, depth, and lasting beauty, supported by deliberate formulation choices. Each bottle is filled, labeled, inspected, and finished by hand in New Jersey.

A Shared Journey, A Larger Community

The people around us have helped give this journey meaning. Conversations at local events, encouragement from fellow business owners, and customers returning to share their favorite scent remind us why we love what we do.

We want to give that encouragement back—by supporting fellow entrepreneurs, participating in our community, sharing what we learn, and helping others feel confident pursuing something of their own.

Our love of cars remains part of that connection. Fulfilling a longstanding promise to enjoy a Ferrari together became a treasured milestone for us: a chance to celebrate our time together and make memories we had once put off.

Robert’s health journey continues, and so does ours as a family. We keep creating, learning, and looking forward. Our hope is that sharing our story encourages someone else to take that first step, hold their loved ones closer, or find something meaningful to build.
